Hello, 2 thoughts: 1. there is some "magic" involved in what SF is doing and I could imagine that you don't get the magic if you use SCP because you don't have then a proper shell. Do you get also the problem if you connect through SSH and edit the file on the command line? 2. stupid thought but sometimes those are the right ones: you didn't forget the ,freemind addition to your username e.g. 'dan,freemind' instead of 'dan'?
