Using FreeMind 0.9.0 Beta 15, if you hover the mouse over a node, the tooltip showing creation/modification time appears, which is fine.
Sometimes this happens because the mouse happens to be over a certain node, rather than because you deliberately hovered over that node. That's fine.
However, if you then use the arrow keys to navigate, hit Home/End to edit the current node, hit Insert to add a child-node, etc., the tooltip remains on-screen. Often the tooltip is now covering the node you're editing.
The tooltip should get torn down if you do keyboard activity such as arrowing, opening or folding nodes, editing, typing, inserting nodes, etc. Possibly all keyboard activity should tear down the tooltips.

You're right but on the other hand, the tooltip disappears after a few seconds, so the impact is very limited. For this reason, I set down the priority and we'll see about it after 0.9.0.

PS: sorry, we need to get 0.9.0 out, and therefor limit our workload.

I wasn't clear, I guess, but the problem is that the tooltips do not in fact get torn down after a few seconds. At least some of the time, the tooltip remains up until you move the mouse off the node in question. That's what makes it so annoying. This may alter your perception of priority.
I do think that the tooltips behave a bit inconsistently. Sometimes they do not appear at all. And, as this bug describes, sometimes they don't disappear when they should. I don't have any better insight into the pre-conditions that lead to these different problems, sorry. (All tested with 0.9.0 Beta 15, not yet tried with Beta 16).
Cheers, Peter
