While this is a minor issue, it does take space from a busy developer taskbar on Windows. When opening Freemind, if the icon is pinned to the taskbar, the application still opens a second icon image, instead of using the existing pinned taskbar icon, which is the standard Windows behavior. Other applications (ArgoUML, Gimp, Inkscape and MySQL Workbench) can all support the taskbar correctly, and some are Java software as well. A screenshot of the issue is attached.

    @Chowarmaan:

    You can prevent this behavior. Take a look:

    Cheers

    This worked correctly and solves the problem once I changed the shortcut to launch this instead of the Freemind.exe.

    "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -jar lib/freemind.jar
    or
    "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -jar lib/freemind.jar

    I would close this ticket then, but do not have a menu option for it.
