uHex 1.0.2 (updated: 1.0.3)

Mateusz updated uHex, a hex editor targeted to DOS and x86. Credit also to Alexey Voskov, who contributed some very nice patches to this release. uHex 1.0.3 has several fixes, including: - Fixed CGA/MDA/HGC card support - Fixed a buffer reusage that was making the search routine to miss matches, - Added a read cache to limit disk I/O (nice for floppies), - Color highlight for unsaved changes (Alexey Voskov), - Video output uses direct memory access instead of BIOS (Alexey Voskov), - Lots of micro optimizations to make the code faster and more compact. Download at uhex.sourceforge.net

On May 10, Mateusz Viste released uHex 1.0.2, his "simple and fast multiplatform hex editor". Changes: "- fixed possible crashes when using the 'search' function caused by dereferencing a NULL pointer, - general code cleanup and reorganisation, - versioning changed from 1.0x to 1.0.x (hence this is v1.0.2, not v1.02), - relicensed uHex from GNU GPL to the '2-clause' BSD license, - added a curse-based I/O driver for porting to POSIX systems." Grab binaries and sources at SourceForge or mirrored on iBiblio under util/file/hex/uhex. Thanks, Fox!
