Hi!
Currently it seems only Gopherus package
adds a bat file to c:\links. Other packages do
not do this.
Please consider populating links for those
packages for which it makes sense (not for
those going to c:\bin, but most of others
probably should).
Not every program or package needs to have a link in the
\freedos\linksdirectory. Some larger packages do, and some games. For example, this is my\freedos\linksfrom a FreeDOS 1.4 "plain DOS" install, plus installing the OpenWatcom compiler, IA-16 GCC compiler, and all of the games:Note that in the 1980s and 1990s, DOS applications assumed you would
cdto the application directory and launch the program from there. This feature request will likely not be addressed as it is not needed. I am closing as won't fix
Sorry for not mentioning the
exact packages for which I needed
this. At least that seems convenient
for DN2 and some networking apps,
like wget, links etc that can be used
from scripts.
