Hi all
I have free dos 1.3 on Oracle VirtualBox 7.0.12 r159484 Qt5.15.2 /
I am tyring to run PCBible atlas "PCBA". It runs fine under dos 6.22 on the vbox.
When I run it in Fdos 1.2 or 1.3 I get a path/file access error in Module PCBA at adrress 0867:0274 right after it loads the splash evemn after I put the pcba exe in the path.
Any tips on this issue for me to try?>

Is that all it says, just a generic "file access error"? Try to load this TSR first, and then check C:\HISTORY.DAT to see what files it tries to load.

    KGB TSR

This is kernel 2043, right? What memory (XMS EMS) drivers are loaded? Is mouse loaded? SHARE? Is it in the same named dir that you installed to? Any specific environment variables needed? Any idea what kind of DOS extender (if any) was used? Also, this is a graphical app, right? VirtualBox is far from perfect. You could also try QEMU. What host OS are you using?

While checking the link "cd.textfiles.com" (is not the whole link!) G-Data Internet security refused to go further with a big red message box. Maybe this was a failure, maybe someone now tries to attack the FD group from within the forum? I am not sure, but be warned!

Ok great news @rugxulo that utility is awesome. I turns out one of the PCBA files was flagged as readonly. Not sure why dos6.22 didnt care, but Fdos did. What is great is that the program runs better under FDOS especially the mouse intergration . Now onto Greek Tools!.
