There was a bug that an error occurred when raw was not added in VirtualBOX in Freedos, but it also occurred in a laptop made by TOSHIBA instead of VM (Satellite 1850, Windows 2000 PC). I will report this case here. (Because I am Japanese, the English text may not be correct)

    Thank you for your report.

Although it is not really a believed to be a bug but a compitibility issue. The problem was resolved in 1.3-RC1. The current version is now 1.3-RC4 (www.ibiblio.org). However, later today or tomorrow RC5 will be made available with offical announcements made later this month.

Your English translation was very good. Have you considered contributing translations to Japanese for the FreeDOS project? Although DOS cannot display actual Japanese characters in text mode, I thought there were longer CodePage substitutions available to compensate for that issue. According to the current status report, only EDLIN has any translations for Japanese at present. If providing translations for FreeDOS intrests you, visit the FD-NLS project.

This is an issue in FreeDOS 1.2 (which was known and had a workaround posted on the website)

This was fixed for 1.3, which is the latest version. Marking as closed/fixed.
