FreeDOS help utility (hhstndrd 1.0.7a en) freezes on FreeDOS 1.3 RC2 with russian localization.

The issue causes only when the environment variable LANG sets to "RU" ("set LANG=RU" in FDAUTO.BAT). In this case when you try to execute "help" the cursor is blinking but system looks halted and not responding (Ctrl+C are not working).

The only workaround way to use "help" in russian FreeDOS system is to set the LANG variable to another value (EN, DE, FR, etc.) before executing "help" and setting it back to "RU" after that.

Steps to reproduce:
C:> set LANG=EN
C:> help
{executing sucessfully}
C:> set LANG=RU
C:> help
{freezes permanently, cursor is blinking}

    Wrongly put it to freedos12 milestone. Needs to be moved to freedos13.

      In the latest test version, the help viewer (not the help content itself) uses that Russian translation. It seems to work flawlessly. Thank you ghderty.

    All this was fixed with the new htmlhelp version. When you set LANG=RU or another language and russian (or another) help does not exist, it jumps back to english. It also supports help text written in Unicode now (at least at most of the European countries, if the codepage is set correct).
    Crashes of older versions are fixed to, thanks Bernd Böckmann!
    So I think this thread can be closed too.
