I have pondered that this should be in the Bugs section, or the Improvement request section, but i decided the last.
When you click on a colony, it is a little irritating that as a result it not only opens the colony panel, but it also moves the map centering to the colony tile.
("Always center selected tiles" is turned off)
I am not sure if it is intentional, but if it is, then i think we need a new display option to be able turn this off. (In original Colonization the map not centered when you clicked on a colony tile)
Please do not move the map on a click to a colony tile, or please make a new option to be able to turn it off.
What happens here is that you are opening the colony panel, which by default used to pop up in the center of the display, obscuring the colony position in the map. People complained about this, as they wanted to see the colony in its geographic context. So we changed it to put the panel in one third of the map and center the colony in the other two thirds (roughly, dependent on other displays, etc, etc, its non-trivial to describe).
So, once again, we can not please everybody. Yet another option is a possibility.
