#191 [0.11.2] Assigning multiple students to a teacher does not work

See the attached save. I have two teachers at the university in Fort Nassau - a statesman and a Jesuit priest. I have three potential free colonist student at the town hall. Try assigning each to one of the teacher - one teacher reports teaching (0/6), one has no report. There is no feedback from the game whether assignment is successful or not. No feedback about learning progress. The whole feature just feels incomplete/buggy.

What I lack from the game is:

• clear indication of how many students a teacher can teach
• visual, immediate feedback about who studies where (use colors?)
• feedback about learning progress, or if it's chance-based, procentual chance to graduate via a tooltip.

  A teacher can teach 1 student only

  The learning process is turn based, the 0/6 you mention above tells you that teacher needs 6 turns to teach his skill, and has just started.

  in the attached savegame, right-click the statesman and you'll see :
  teaching free colonist (1/6)
  right-click the left-most free colonist in the town hall and you'll see :
  understudy to Elder Statesman (1/6)

right-click any other free colonist and you'll see :
jesuit icon - assign to teacher
statesman icon - assign to teacher (1/6)

This indicates the jesuit is teaching no one, and the statesman already has a pupil that has studied 1 turn of the needed 6 .

Thanks Lone_Wolf for describing what FreeCol does and clearing up some misunderstandings. I can add that one of the reasons there is no obvious indication (other than failure to assign) of how many students a teacher can instruct is because it never occurred to the developers that the number should be anything other than one. The number is implied by the documentation but could be made more explicit.

What I lack from the game is...

I think this is more an Improvement Request than a bug, as there are indications and feedback present, just not as obvious as you might like.

What would be good here is some detailed implementable suggestions for how things could be improved.
