I am not sure I explained it clearly so I will try again.
So in stages:
1) you have unit active with movement points available
2) you press G on your keyboard (or select from Orders>Go to tile)
3) you point to location and click
Normally unit would move and continue moving every turn until destination is reached.
Now however it does now but it simply tile description of the tile you clicked on for example: Rain forest, Defence 75%, Movement 3.

We had complaints that you could not use the mouse to move the map around when planning a long move. The idea now is that left-mouse moves the map, and selects. Middle mouse is for unit goto selection. Right mouse (remains) the menu popup. Agreed, this may not be optimal.

I think that functionality is now all on the middle mouse button.

Likely I am the one lacking clarity. Follow your three steps above, but click with the middle button.
It does work with the middle button.

Perhaps provide options to select? So that user can decide which button does what?
