Dear SourceForge Support Team,
Recently, we have received feedback from users reporting very slow download speeds when downloading Accessible-Coconut installation images from our SourceForge project page. Slow downloads can significantly impact accessibility and user experience, particularly for visually impaired users who rely on timely access to our software.

Project Page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/accessible-coconut/

We would appreciate it if your team could review the download infrastructure, mirror selection, or any potential issues affecting download performance for this project. If there are any recommended actions from our side to improve download availability and speed, we would be grateful for your guidance.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Have you tried switching to a different mirror?
On the download page, click the "Problems downloading?" option and choose the mirror closest to your location.

If you are still having issues, please share more information for our team to investigate further:

Which country you are downloading from?
What mirror is shown on the download page? (in the upper right corner).
Which exact file are you downloading?.

    Sincerely,
    SourceForge Support

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

Our users are primarily blind and visually impaired individuals. Asking them to manually switch mirrors using the "Problems downloading?" option can be challenging, as many users are not aware of this feature or may have difficulty locating and using it depending on their browser and screen reader setup.

The reports we have received are from users in different locations, and the issue appears to be affecting the default mirror selection rather than a specific user configuration.

The file being downloaded is the latest Accessible-Coconut installation image available from our project page. Since the problem has been reported by multiple users, we would appreciate it if your team could review the mirror selection and download performance for our project in general.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

We tested downloads from several mirrors and identified one mirror that was performing poorly. Aside from that, the mirror system appears to be functioning normally overall.

To investigate any remaining issues, we'll need specific details about the affected downloads, including the country and the mirror being used. If your users can provide that information (or if you can provide it directly), we'll be able to look into the issue further and determine where the problem may be occurring.

    Sincerely,

    SourceForge Support
