I have a few svg glyph files I created using inkscape (I can convert them to eps format if need be). What do you mean by make a svg font? Do you want me to convert these glyphs into a single font file? All my questions pertain to how to achieve that using fontforge. ~~marco --- On Wed, 2/15/12, luigi scarso <lui...@gm...> wrote: On Thu, Feb 16, 2012 at 1:48 AM, Marco Ricci <mar...@ya...> wrote: My apologies if this has been asked before but I have the following questions. (1) I want to import many svg files into a ttf file. I managed to do it for a single glyph and it works fine. I double-clicked on a glyph after opening a font file, and did File->Import and imported a file. I want to do this for several files in one shot. Is this possible? (2) Is there a command line option for the above? That is, can I specify the glyph file, font file and the slot number into which it will be added and the above is done? If not, is it possible to script this? (3) What is the maximum value of the slot number that I can use? (4) If I go to Encoding->Add Encoding Slots, I get a question which asks how many slots I want to add and it adds these slots starting with the value just above the current maximum value. What if I want to assign some values in a range I want to specify? Should I just add as many slots that will include my range? make a svg font and then callfontforge <yoursvgfont>.svg -- luigi |
