The author of the X-15 has answered *very* positively!! Here is his E-Mail: ---------------- snip ------------------ Wolfram, Thank you for your letter, it's nice to hear from you. Yes, I think I understand what the idea is.... I have no problems with whatever you want to do with ANY of my aircraft - there are no restrictions whatever. They are my gift to the hobby. And yes, you can sell them if you want - others do! What I do ask is that some acknowlegement be made - primarily because =46light Sim Com freely host my site and the more visitors they get the more commercially successful the site is... Also, you might want to consider using, or incorporating some of the wording of, my text files with the aircraft. This is not a requirement, but it helps with the queries from first time users! :))) Good luck with this... let me know if I can be of any more help. Cheers, Mike ---------------- snip ------------------ Like I said, he seems very approachable, and he has one of the laxest (is that an english word ? I mean not strict :-)) licenses anyway. He not only is that author of the X-15, but of many planes, on my homepage alone I have four. Please have a look at his home page http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/mikehill/home.htm It seems the first time I send my email to him there was a misshap on my side. BTW, about the problems the Freeware people have with their licenses and pirates. I didn't find any of the really hard things (because I didn't look for more than a few minutes), but if you look here http://www.roychaffin.com/rcs-panels.html and serach for pirate, hall of shame and especially "Bully Boy" you will find out why the Freeware people have to be careful.=20 This evening I will look at what it takes to get the X-15 into the base package. I would suggest that I will then clear up all the details in PMs with John and Curt. Bye bye, Wolfram. |
