I noticed on my machine that the reported frame rates were good with the voodoo3, but I got very inconsistnat frame rates ... lots of jerking or surging or how ever you want to describe it. > But now I'm in 32bit and don't have to look at weird crap like this: > http://www.wtlug.org/~hrothgar/fgfs/Texure_problems.html > > I haven't figured out how to get the FSAA stuff to work (or I just don't > notice it). I may have to get Q3A out and see how it looks. ;-) There are some environment variables you need to set before running fgfs. However, I was very underwhelmed with the antialiasing on the GeForce ... it would only work up to 800x600 and the algorithm didin't produce the kind of results I was hoping for. I would rather run at 1600x1200 with the antialiasing turned off. The GeForce3 has some new tweaks to it's antialiasing approach so it will be interesting to see how that performs (some day) :-) Curt. -- Curtis Olson Human Factors Research Lab FlightGear Project Twin Cities cu...@hf... cu...@fl...
