This bug has been mentioned a few times in passing, but I wanted to bring it to the forefront. Whenever I start fgfs with the jsb fdm and specify an airport-id, I fall into a black void every time. If I had been paying attention, I would have taken note of the day it started happening so I could backtrack in CVS to find where it started. But...I didn't. My guess is that this has been happening for about a month now. [insert grain of salt] All of my tests have been by specifying an airport-id *other than* the default. It just dawned on my that I haven't tried to specify KSFO to see what happens -- I will do that when I get home. It *appears* that I'm falling through the ground and end up inside the earth, but if I specify an altitude (say 1000), the same thing happens while I'm at that altitude. So, my "I'm inside the earth" idea sorta falls apart at that point. Also, if I set an altitude and hit 'v' (change view) as soon as I start, I see the plane pitch forward (nose down) until it's almost vertical (90=B0), then everything turns black. Other FDMs don't exhibit this problem, just JSBSim. I've attached two JSBSim output files for different airports. These were done a couple days ago, so I don't remember if I set an altitude or not. :-( I can send some later that I know for sure what options were used, but you can look at the attached ones for the time being. --=20 Cameron Moore |
