The long term idea is to get make a FlightGear plugin for Blender's glTF exporter, that way we can add FlightGear specific info to the glTF file through extensions. One thing we could add to this plugin is the ability to use local or global coordinates, just a simple checkbox. I think this Option 3 would be our best bet. -- Fernando |
