I know it's not complete, but it already works well enough to be used by those trying to build home cockpits. Sooo … yes … BUT .. maybe not for 2024.1.1, more like 2024.1.2 ? The reason is it sorely needs a bit of TLC, which I haven't given it in the past couple of years. And we’re finally in a place where I could automate release uploads to the Store and the Google Play malware-zone, sorry, I mean, app store. (I have an idea of people able to tell people as FSweekend to download the app as they stand at the booth, and connect to one of our running sims there and then…) But I’m not sure if we should bundle it with the release or not, it feels like it should be a separate package (on distros), but definitely could be inside the Windows installer (wth an extra launch shortcut) and smae on the AppImage, or we could make a tiny separate AppImage for it. There’s also a couple of bugs I never fixed, but I presume anyone using it right now is aware of those and working around the, eg the ’need to restart for fonts to load correctly’ bug. I’m about to make an Epic in GitLab for FGQCanvas anyway, and we can definitely think about packaging it. It would be good to here what distribution modalities people actually need most urgently.
