I was just in the middle of typing out something exactly to this effect, I agree. As a Qt application the launcher lends itself to being capable of implementing accessible design. An option in the launcher for enabling accessibility options would likely be a good approach instead of doing things inside the simulator. I would assume a screen-reader would struggle to function in the simulator itself.
