FWIW: this is one reason why i /always/ reconfigure... i never know when some 
other update has changed things on my system that may be involved in the 
building and linking processes of FG and other projects i self build...

in the case of using the dnc script, reconfiguring is as simple as making sure 
to use "-r y" on every invocation...
