Hey, For my cockpit project (to be demoed at FSWeekend this year, is the hope/plan), I’m modelling ‘approximately’ Boeing NG hardware. For the cockpit displays I am using remote-canvas, which works great for the ND displays of the aircraft I’m testing with (the 777 and 757 mostly, since we don’t have a great 737NG in FGaddon). The problem is all these aircraft use a ‘3D animation’ PFD, so I need a Canvas option to see anything there :) (Actually I also need a canvas upper EICAS display, since again at least on the 777 only the *lower* EICAS is Canvas, the upper is 3D+XML again - but that’s less urgent than the PDF in terms of flying the airplane….) Can anyone point me to some examples of Boeing NG-style PFD already implemented in the Canvas? Otherwise I will borrow from Stuart’s recent work on the FG1000 PFD, but I am guessing that would be duplicated effort, and the FG1000 is a more elaborate beast. (I’m not necessarily looking to actually modify the 757 or 777, since I don’t know the current maintainer-ship of those acft - I will keep this as an add-on module, for use with my hardware, unless people think there’s value in a ‘generic Boeing PFD’ in fgdata/Instruments-3d) Kind regards, James |
