Which is why there's a distance limit to load the 3d models and the  
volcano-specific Nasal, but the talking to the weather engine resides with  
the manager which has no distance limit :-)

Now, where have I last seen flickering plasma outside the windscreen...? I  
distinctly remember it from an hypersonic FG craft not so long ago... :-)
