Last time I checked was some months ago on Windows, unfortunately I can’t investigate this issue until I’m back in front of my Windows box on Monday. If anyone wants to look before then, some of the unit tests for SimGear are designed to test precisely this case, since it broke beforehand. Since running as administrator resolves the issue, it is likely this is a permissions issue with the Aircraft folder - Ron could you share the full path to your download dir, and maybe also the ownership of it (especially, is it writeable by your regular user account from Windows Explorer?)
