Hi Jim, Imagine that you could run the gui on a tablet or phone or other device (or multiple's of these with different content or display configurations.) Think that some people might be building larger installations and might be using this as an instructor station. This would allow not using (or removing?) the gui from the main flightgear screens which maybe your out-the-window views (or a panel view) on the full cockpit simulator you are building. There are many directions a person could run with this capability. And we won't force your friends to watch you fly. :-) Capability != Policy, good design tries to keep these concepts separate as much as possible. :-) Best regards, Curt.
