Please consider also the option of using the system style for the widgets.
The launcher is a window amongst other windows on a desktop, and I for one 
prefer to have it integrated with a consistent style.
A "metro" styled window looks out of place on a OSX desktop, just as a 
"breeze" styled window does on a Windows10 desktop.
