Actually, in my oponion it would be a good idea to have the joystick config file in better accessible place, because the GUI options in the dialog are quite limited. I have edited the files for the various joysticks quite a lot and I can imagine that there are many users who want to assign a common function to a specific button/axis (e.g. move flaps with lever instead of button, rearrange bindings of the throttle quadrant for a multi-engine aircraft, assign light switches to joystick buttons, etc. etc...)

But that's just my 2 cents...
