Here in the UK we have the NATS database, free for all on the net, which provides detailed information on all UK airports. There can be no reason why the details can not be immediately imported into a viable self maintained database. I would hope that most nations would supply a similar service. I would be happy to know what the X-plane apt.dat has to offer us than a very welcome start into managing our own affairs. I would suggest that we have "local representatives" with commit rights to implement changes with a lead time of, say (20 mins)?? Kind regards, Alasdair |
