More or less - yes.
I use a simple PC for driving two monitors with 2d panels fed by a separate 
FlightGear computer running the FDM et. al.

It's all in a state of "works on my machine" and it was presented at FSWeekend 
last November. I'll add more and more of the code as time permits.
