Nothings easier than that - used plibconvert from the plib/tools to convert 
the .mdl to .ac and after that, used an old tool "texcon" to convert the 
*.?af textures to bmp and gimp for the .rgb.

Search the net for texcon01.zip - runs smoothly under wine.

It's in CVS now.
