As a first start for compiling under Linux as well as Cygwin (Windows with
the free Cygnus compiler) you may want to try the "Installation and Getting
Started" at

which has a step-by-step procedure. Feel free to mail me, in case you think
there are points missing or unclear. There are also some readmes coming with
the code plus there is a good FAQ at

It may be I forgot it, but I can't recall anyone (including me) compiling it
under BC. However, I doubt it will work out of the box unless someone made
special adjustments (ifdefs...)
