Many times it happens that wx has some feature broken in some particular version. That's why we link statically most of the time. Also, the download size of FR+static_wx is much less than wx library + dynamic_FR. But, I'll leave it to you to decide. Would you like to be a maintainer of Debian package, and make packages whenever we release?
