Sorry I was using your time. The problem is solved and the fault was on the
other side (ODBC), not Firebird.

I have done a little test but without luck due to problems with the intl 
stuff, were you have located the fbembed.dll ?? ( i was running the test 
with the fbembed.dll in the same directory as the provider dll )

Absent from the latest firebird-provider developments,
I propose nevertheless:

Make a link, that many people can download it. And don't remove the old 
example. There's still a lack of examples, exspecially bigger ones.

Hi experts=2C

I have moved from the stantdard database to the embedded server=2E

The problem that I have is that now all the operations that I realize
with the database (adding or getting data) increase the memory usage of
my process (before it was just the fbserver process who was increasing)=2E=

And it increases and increases and this memory is never released
arriving to run in low memory and crashing the process=2E

Any idea how to release the memory that the embedded server is using=3F

  Read the help of FbConnection.ConnectionString property (in the API=20
  docs), you have the complete list of arguments allowed in the=20
  ConnectionString, including the ServerType one that allow you to =
connect=20
  to the embedded server ( using ServerType=3D1 ).

  Huummm maybe i'm worng but i think that the 1.6 Alpha 1 for .NET 1.1.=20
  installer ships with the correct gacutil, you can review the KNOWN.txt =

  file or build the sources ( you will need nant, nant.sourceforge.net )

Hi Abel,

thanks for the answer, Firebird would be my first choice for a embedded 
database, but I must access it via BDP (->Borland Eco). Currently I am 
storing in XML for prototyping. I hope I can wait for the BDP driver.

Hi,

There are some differences in the versions and installations but still
two computers can have the exact same installation  and still the
program will work on one and not the other. I have tried installing the
latest version of Firebird with all seetings the same as those on the
computer in which I wrote the program and still no luck.
