For this to work I had to install XDarwin (Xfree4.5.0) which gave me =20
a proper French keyboard in both X applications and kde, but I =20
experience the same problem as you do in Gtk apps. It is extrememly =20
annoying indeed. I tried to have a look at gnome-keyboard-properties, =20=

but 1) nothing's available in there (no keymaps or keyboard types) 2) =20=

I don't get why gtk doesn't use the keyboard in a straight way like =20
kde does.
