Try opening up Terminal.app and enter at the prompt:
/Applications/Utilities/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 +kb
(This, of course, works around Apple's bug in several languages, not
just Swiss German and US English.)
Some people use a shell script to run the same command, but I had to
use this method for scrolling to work in X11 with my old Microsoft
Mouse; I use a "mightier" mouse now, of course ;-), but I still don't
know if scrolling would work with the shell script that's been posted
on the X11 Users list and Sao's X11 FAQ.
My 2=A2 worth,
Emily
[I couldn't type the above cents sign without this workaround. I think
Apple deliberately introduced these bugs to "punish" those who use X11
programs instead of Aqua programs. ;-) ]
