I never tried to do this with the mac version, so I don't know if it was an option there, but looking at the documentation, it seems to have been available on wxmaxima for quite a while now. Do you think there is something missing in the fink packages that would allow the export, or is it just something missing with my computer setup? > > - From the drop-down at the lower-right corner of the File->Export window (wxmaxima-gtk) I get the following options: HTML file (*.html) maxima batch file (*.mac) pdfLaTeX file (*.tex) Export to pdfLaTeX worked for me, though I had to change the extension manually. So you don’t have the pdfLaTeX option in the drop-down? If that’s the case, try running “fink rebuild wxmaxima-gtk” and send me the output from the configuration stage of the build, which would be everything above "configure: creating ./config.status”, and I’ll see if I can trigger different behavior. -- Alexander Hansen, Ph.D. Fink User Liaison |
