IIRC I took over maintenance of the htmldoc package when I needed it as a dependency, but I have no clue what it does or (without investigating) what could cause this. The package is not in 10.8 anymore. I could move it to 10.8 and fix it there, then hope the same fixes apply for 10.6. However, if anyone else wants to have a go, that's as good a try as mine.
