[Fink-beginners] All I want to do is download Kexi. I would not know what to look for in the FAQ.With MUCH appreciation and apologies.

I am new to the Mac. All I want a freeware RAD Database package and from what I read Kexi fits the bill. I am small restaurant owner with a small amount of Oracle Forms and Borland Delphi experience who cannot afford even £200 for something like Visual Basic (which I HATE).
Kexi is not in Koffice version 2 and I need to download Koffice 1.6 or standalone Kexi.
I need Fink to do this. I have no idea what Fink is or what it does.
I am running Mac 10.6.3 and so could not download the Fink application; I was told to download the source. When I started it said there was 500MB of files so I cancelled the download. 
All I want is a RAD. I would have no idea what to do with 500MB of files.

Please help
