Hello, I was configuring ClamAv 0.92 and had to check the mirror list of Clam project. I saw a very detailed mirror list with detailed status showing status of all mirrors. http://www.clamav.org/mirrors.html I have checked the badge bottom of the page, it is "mirmon" developed by a Apache developer which is not agressive, doesn't ping or do very advanced things. http://people.cs.uu.nl/henkp/mirmon/ It looks for a small file on each mirror hourly (default, which can be changed) and renders a nice webpage (you can see from the Clam link above) which you can even ordinarily password protect if you want the data not to be public for some reason. It is used by Debian, FreeBSD and many other credible organisations like KDE. As far as I understand, it is also capable of displaying outdated mirrors which would be great for rsync and cvs. I think it may put an end to mirrors going up and down or being not reliable when people see all in single place. Have a nice day, keep up the nice work Ilgaz Öcal |
