Now, both uninstallers recommend a restart after the new installation and that is what I did. I don't know whether it's possible that restarting immediately after running the uninstall scripts and prior to reinstalling the devtools would have helped. On the other hand, I did try to install XCode 2.5 after the OS upgrade without realizing that the one on the DVD was newer than the one on dev.apple.com. So maybe that was sufficient to screw things up. In any case, maybe the one on the web ought to be the newest one.... |
