Saw this program, that it would be easier than manually renaming a word in ~1000 .mkv files but I see this program will not find anything other than .txt, .htm, .html, and .xml.

You seem to have CSS turned off. Please don't fill out this field.
Type *.mkv into the File Name Pattern box and FAR will find you the files you are looking for. Switch for the Rename tab and rename them.
Please tell me what made you think FAR could not do this (serious question as there must be something misleading somewhere that I should rectify).
