This is a minor update. It seems that Express Engine was not catching the case where the only difference between to entities was the one of the attributes had a different base_type. It has now been fixed. Express Engine Team |

We are proud to announce Express Engine 4.2.5 This version has important fixes for Concatenate Schema. If you are using --concat_schema then you really need to update to this version. Also, --check and --validate have been cleaned up enough to run and produce output. Anyone using them should look in the User Manual to see what is known to work and what is known to not work. The Express Engine Team is proud to announce the beginning of a Beta test effort for Express Engine. To participate, you will need to subscribe to the exp-engine-beta mailling list and then go to the Files section of the Express Engine SourceForge.net Project page https://sourceforge.net/projects/exp-engine/files/ Then go into the "eengine" and then "Beta" directories. Download the appropriate binaries and User Manual files. This Beta is testing: o a new Lisp Environment (Clozure CL) being used for delivery o Pretty Printing in this new Lisp environment o the ability to turn CVS querying on and off o the ability to select CVS info from the server or the local meta file. Please be sure to look at the output from the --pretty function since we are now using a different Lisp. The output is slightly different from the output produced by SBCL. In some cases, I think it may be better, but the real question is "is it acceptable or do I need to tweek it some." Please send all comments and issues to the exp-engine-beta list, not to individual developers. This will help cut down on potential duplicate reports. The Express Engine Team |

This is a minor release since some users were having trouble with 4.1.1 requiring them to create directories for the user that created the release. That was never intended. It has now been fixed. This release also marks the beginning of bundling the executable and the User Manual together in one archive. This way you can download the appropriate file for your platform and you will get both the binary file and the User Manual PDF at the same time. Please report any issues on the exp...@li... mailing list. Even if you are not subscribed, you should be able to send to the list. I think. At least, I tried to make it that way. Version 3.2 is now available. Please read the release notes to find out what has changed (it's quite a bit). One of the big things in this release is that both the Linux and Windows version have a separate binary for using EE on the command line. The GUI version of the program is "expressow" (Linux) and "expressow.exe" (Win32) and the CLI version of the program is "expresso" (Linux) and "expresso.exe" (Win32). The Debian package will uploaded soon. The Express Engine Team |

Pre-release 3.1.99 is now available. This one includes a fix so that the --help option actually prints the help text. It also includes a fix so that qualified map_attribute's look the entity up in the correct schema. Note that if you use the command line interface, its syntax has changed slightly. Instead of using '-op <op>' you now use '--<op>'. (e.g. '-op translate' becomes '--translate') The Express Engine Team |
