Hi. I've had an odd issue, and I expect that its a strange corner case.

Running Thunderbird (24.0.1, OSX), Enigmail 1.5.2.
Same thing happens in Postbox w/ Enigmail 1.2.3.
It works as expected in Mail.app and GPGtools.

I had someone forward me a signed email as an attachment. The email was then encrypted for me.

The email decrypts fine, and shows the attached .eml file. But it also displays that it failed to verify the signature (which I know works, since i'm able to use Mail.app). When i open the attached email, it shows an attachment, signature.asc, and no message from Enigmail at the top.

I'm guessing, but could it be trying to apply the signature to the entire email instead of just the attached email?

Yeah, that looks like it... sigh.. Since its 8 years old already, I'm guess its not going to get fixed any time soon. This is gonna bit annoying as hell for me.

Any suggestions on where to start to fix it?
