I get what you mean. We could advertise the snapshots a bit more.

But the release download button must remain the most prominent element
on the download page. Hence, if we put a dedicated snapshot download
button, it has to be smaller, to not confuse users. Furthermore, I'd
avoid the wording "snapshot release", as this is also confusing.
Snapshots are *not* releases.
