Besides running EmuTOS on my ColdFires and my Falcon (where language settings don't matter much as I mostly only upgrade to release versions and need to have the settings match my keyboards anyway), I'm using EmuTOS (preferrably the 512K variant) mainly together with Hatari as a test facility when coding. One single fixed language setup instead of having to fiddle with NVRam tools every time I set up a new environment would probably make that even simpler. I don't see any disadvantage of the split for me personally. That said, things might be different for people preparing distributions (like BeeKey, for example). There the split might cause some extra work. |
