Hello, everyone. our new forum is available: help.egroupware.org <https://help.egroupware.org> We were able to import the old mailing lists and sorted them as readable under the category Old. Thus the contributions can be found via the search. So we are starting afresh in the individual categories. Our forum also offers a mailing list function for those who prefer to communicate via e-mail (or part of it). Thus it is also possible to reply to contributions by e-mail or to open new topics. For more information, please refer to the forum's manual. The extensive possibilities offered by the forum are, of course, sometimes not available if you only participate by e-mail. Therefore: Sign up, read the manual and test in the Playground category. There you can let off steam:-) To log in: We have also taken over the users. So you should be able to reset your password with your username or your e-mail address via login => "I forgot my password". The user will then reactivate. To update your user profile, please read the user manual forum. If you have any problems with the registration please write to: su...@eg... We have created sub-categories for manuals and EGw-FAQ in the language categories. Content is gradually being added to this page. If you are interested in participating, please contact me. Help is always welcome. Thus, the forum should gradually become a place for documentation in addition to the exchange of problems. I am always grateful for hints and ideas. Please send me a message via the forum. With this, everyone is also invited to post their open questions or problems in the forum. Hi David, we're moving to a new forum, which will also provide mail-integration aka. mailing lists. It will go live in two days on Oct. 7th. Hello, everyone. We are currently working on a new forum. We're going to migrate the old forums/mailing lists. On monday we export it last time and import it to the new forum. If the migration works, the release of the new forum is scheduled for 7th of october 2017. This means that contributions from the interim period are not included. We will also offer the old contributions only as a readable archive. Therefore I ask all those who want to post new topics or have old topics open to post them again in the new forum. I hope you understand this cut/restart. And yes- the new forum has also a mailing list function. We're going to activate and explain it further later on. (When everything works as expected!) Hello,
I'd like to adopt egroupware as my company tool (version 16.9.002).
The problem I found is that when I have two mail accounts, and want to
send reply to mail opened with first account through second (both are
with smtp set correctly, and I switch field from in composing window to
account I want to send through), system sends it through smtp server of
the first one account, field from is set for second account and orignal
mail is saved in Sent folder of second account.
I think something is going wrong.
I saw in Mailer.php that for sending mail it's used setAccount function
function setAccount($account=null)
{
if ($account instanceof Mail\Account)
{
$this->account = $account;
}
elseif ($account > 0)
{
$this->account = Mail\Account::read($account);
}
else
and I saw in class.mail_compose.inc.php
if ($activeProfile != $composeProfile)
someone could give me an help?
greetings,
Darek

Hello! I am trying to open the 'edit' part of various apps in a new tab (infolog, tracker etc.) instead of a popup. So far it had been working ok. However, when I close the parent tab from which the 'edit' was opened, there are issues. Apparently the framework/local storage or something else (which I do no know exactly) gets loaded once with the parent window. Then the child window relies on the parent for certain functionality (eg. rendering link-entry) My question is: Since I guess I have to load the framework again, is there a way to do it without showing the top and side menus? If I use cd=yes then the whole thing is loaded again, but we would like to hide the side menus in order to get more screen space. Thank you! -- View this message in context: http://egroupware.219119.n3.nabble.com/Do-not-load-side-menu-and-top-menu-tp4015657.html Sent from the egroupware-developers mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

The easiest and fastest (both for development and execution) way to achieve what you want is to actually load the data you want to display, pass it to the etemplate and use a label. However, you may be under limitations that prevent you from using the easy way. Other ways include fetching via AJAX or creating your own widget (extend Transformer) that takes your ID, and displays the fields you want. You mentioned a "big grid". Note that anywhere more than 50 rows and you should be considering switching to a nextmatch widget instead of a grid. Nathan |

I want to populate a big grid with entries. I just want to pass the id of the entry, and have the description show up. I also want to execute JS when the user clicks on it. One way, would be to use menupopup with sel_options and onclick, which works. However, the sel_options array is HUGE, and this results in extremely big loading times. Another way, is to use readonly link-entry with only_app specified. This way there's no problem with loading times, the descriptions get loaded quickly. However, I cannot override what happens when the user clicks (open the specific entry), and execute my JS Is there a way to override this? Maybe use another <link> widget? The documentation of etemplate I have available is quite old and I cannot find anything there. Thank you Nathan, I ended up placing the grid above the nextmatch, but I will keep in mind the parent_node for the future. I'm actually not just using a grid, but a tabbox, that uses one template for all the tabs, and feeding different content each time. So since things are a bit complicated I'll just stay outside nextmatch. Your JS attempt looks correct. The grid has some exceptions for nextmatch
that may be causing you problems. It may not be possible to get around
them, but every widget supports a 'parent_node' attribute. You can try
putting your grid in a different place, like the end of the template and
putting a placeholder box (with different ID) where you want it. Then set
the parent_node on the grid to make it show up in the box.

Hello everyone.
I am trying to place a <grid> on the header_row of a nextmatch
I want this grid to get dynamic data, so in the .xet file I use this as
id="${row}[actual_id]"
However, even though this works on etemplate in general, and is translated
to 0[actual_id], 1[actual_id] etc.
when it's inside nextmatch it stays ${row}[actual_id].
Because of this, I can't populate the grid with data. Neither from PHP
content (array [0] => row, [1] => row etc.),
neither from JS ( app.appname.et2.getWidgetById('grid').set_value({ content:
[ {actual_id : 25}, {actual_id : 20} ], sel_options:[]}) )
Both methods work outside nextmatch though.
Is there a way to have a simple grid with data inside nextmatch header_row?
Thanks!

Hi Nathan, The first place to start looking at is the vendor directory and see if you can find ckeditor under vendor/egroupware path. Maybe something went wrong while installing composer packages. We have egroupware specific ckeditor package in here https://packagist.org/packages/egroupware/ckeditor. Second, make sure that there's no git checkout of ckeditor in your .mrconfig file anymore. The Ckediotr library no longer gets included in api/js therefore there should be no binding path of ckeditor.js to the api/js directory anymore. Hope this helps to get your ckeditor back. I'm having trouble with CKEditor in 16.1 - it appears the js is not loaded,
causing a js error in both Chromium and Firefox:
There was an error with a widget:
Error:ReferenceError: CKEDITOR is not defined
at Class.doLoadingFinished (et2_widget_htmlarea.js?1485874927:146)
...
(This is available when trying to add a new tracker with HTML editing
enabled)
I can't find a call where anything for CKEditor is requested, but
api/js/ckeditor is empty.
This is with a git checkout, works fine in master (trunk) branch.
Has anyone else seen this, or just me? Any suggestions for where to start
looking would be appreciated.

Hello all, thank again for the answer with the problem sending an email with my application. I found out that I have to use the addHeader function for setting the subject of an email that function is not overwritten in the egroupware Mailerfunction, so it's not in the documentation. If someone else wants to know the original Horde Mail functions, the link is here: https://dev.horde.org/api/master/lib/Mime/class-Horde_Mime_Mail.html André Am 27.01.2017 um 16:44 schrieb Nathan Gray: > > > On 25 January 2017 at 13:28, André Scholz <in...@ro... > <mailto:in...@ro...>> wrote: > > Hello 2 all, > > I want to integrate my invoice program a bit more into egroupware, but > all information I found on the egroupware.org > <http://egroupware.org> page seems to be outdated. > > > Yes, it is. > http://community.egroupware.org/index.php?page_name=wiki&wikipage=ApplicationDevelopmentGuide > > In general, your best approach is to find an existing app that does > what you want, and copy part of it. > > First, I'd like to use the left navigation bar > > > Putting a regular menu in the sidebox is fairly easy: > http://community.egroupware.org/index.php?page_name=wiki&wikipage=App-Titles+and+iDots+Sidebox+Menu > N.B that the file name requirement has been removed, just set the hook > in setup.inc.php appropriately. > > Getting fancy with an etemplate in the sidebox is a little more > difficult (eg. calendar, mail, projectmanager ), and I would have to > carefully go through one of those apps if I had to do it again. > > > and the popup messages - > like in "E-Mail send". They have not updated correctly. In 16.1 phpgwapi/inc/class.egw_db.inc.php is only 33 line long, so there's no line 507. Seems to me phpgwapi is still on 14.1! For updates NEVER overwrite the existing code with the new archive, it will leave deleted files in place. For updating to 16.1 you need the egroupware-epl-compat archive. Thought you can remove it, after running the update and recreating the header.inc.php, if you don't use any of the old apps (thought you say you do). Many thanks in advance. Kind regards Gunda |

While including the framework explicitly makes the error go away, it should
not be needed. Your Fatal error indicates something is not quite right in
your code, or how it is called. You should expect to encounter other
errors, though I'm sorry I cannot guess the root cause. Maybe namespace
issues, maybe the autoloader is having trouble for some reason. You might
try:
use EGroupware\Api\Framework;
instead of the include.
Do I have to use the full egroupware template system to use this function?

Yes and no.
The etemplate system will bring the message to the client, and that's the
easiest way.
If you're not going to use etemplate, you should still be able to call the
function yourself using javascript on the client side:
egw.message('Hey');
