26 weapons...it feels more like 5 or 6, because they're all so similar in feel to each other. Add to that, your ripping may be smooth, but the weapons are all off proportion and don't angle correctly (with some exceptions, ie. the Eagle and FA-MAS). It's a good technological showcase, but gameplay-wise, nothing that I'd use on a regular basis.

As someone who spent _every_ lunchtime playing Counter-strike for a full 9 months without fail, I obviously had to look this one.
Its pretty cool and well done. The number of frames for each weapon makes it look really smooth. Its a feeling of great satifaction mowing down a shedload of demons with the automatic shotgun. There is a action-movie style to doing that.
As a thought it would be nice to work out a way of setting the same creature up with different attacks and then drops the weapon in respect of that attack: i.e. they randomly get given a weapon and drop it when they die. I like the way the different pistols were given out etc...
Status bar is pretty cool.
I'd make a few points:
- AK47 seems a bit weak in comparision to other weapons. The AK47 was always a far more powerful weapon that its counter terrorist counterpart, but was much more difficult to control.
- Generades go off far too easily. I usually thow them when net to a well and they blow-up immediately.
- Balancing is required. There is combination of weapons being much more accurate and the doom monsters not have been increase to match. Also I'd expect a deagle to produce a much more power-full shot.
- In addition to the above, it would handy to have some levels produced specifically for this mod. Since the majority of levels are unbalance. E2M8 cannot be completed from scratch, most others are far too easy.
All in all. Its a nice mod and highlights some strengths and the odd weakness with EDGE. Nice one.
