Hi, sendReliably() takes 2 parameters. The first one is the ebXML message to be sent. The second one is a boolean flag, indicating whether you request the Ack to be digitally signed. Hope this helps. thanks for the reply.
For msh to work properly , i deleted the database tables and recreated the
database.and it worked.
and abt acknowledgment
I am sending a message from one machine to another machine.
As soon as the message reaches the destination, the destination machine
should send an ack to the source.
Please provide me a elaborate solution for this.
If any one has already working system, provide me the sample code.

Please comment the element <AuthenticationFile> in
msh.properties.xml in case you don't need authentication for Command
object.

I think I have configured the msh.properties.xml file correctly. In the
msh.log file, after the creation of the database and the dirs in
tomcat5/webapps there is this error message:
2004-05-03 12:21:45,850 ERROR [main]: [10001] Initialization error -

Someone can help me?
Thanks in advance.

hi all,
I am working on an ebxml.
After all efforts i am succesfull in congiring msh cleanly.
I am able to send message from source machine to destination machine.
My Question is
"
Now How can i get an acknowledgment for the message sent."
Once i send a message i should get an ack that the message have been
reached, from the destination end.
Can any one tell me How can i do that? whether there r any API's to get or
should i use any other method.
Provide me solution for this problem.

Dear Peter, I also changed the PKISignatureImpl.java, since it will call getSoapEnvelopeOffset(). and I don't remember whether there are other files changed. So bad that the CVS on sourceforge don't give me email on what I committed, just like before. Dear Peter, O... sorry that the CVS server on sourceforge still fail on reporting what I haven't changed to the mailing list.... In fact the bug is just fixed by me on a week ago, where I totally remove the the Offset structure, since in fact it fails if the soap envelope of the message is encoded. Therefore my way to fix it is to totally remove the offset structrure and use the SOAP envelope bytes fetched during parsing. And also I have added the unit test for such scenario too. (In fact somehow I try my best to add unit test when each bug is found, but sometimes it may not be possible.) So, maybe you can checkout and see whether the source is updated. (The new EbxmlMessage class should remove the whole getSoapMessageOffset functions.) Hello,
May I ask a question about ebMS Interoperability Test on Level T5-3-1 ?
My runtime environment:
Windows 2000 Professional
Apache Tomcat 4.0.4
J2SDK 1.4.2
Hermes MSH version : hermes_ebms2_binary_dist_0931
db: hsqldb_1_7_1
Axis TcpMonitor
We use TcpMonitors to monitor the messages, so we choose 8081 port to send and receive messages. The sender stop his TcpMonitor first, then repeated send ackquested messages forever and the interval time parameter sets 10sec.
When hitted SEND button the sender monitor received an error message which is "Communication Error" while receiver monitored the TcpMonitor and found it received two ackquested messages which have the same timestamp, that is say, they are the same messages. And an error message occur in the receiver's TcpMonitor which says "ArrayIndexOutOfBounds", why? We haven't met this type of error before.
At the same time the receiver's Tomcat told an error about "java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect ". We think it is normal because the sender blocked the receiver's acknowledgement messages, so the connection(to sender's 8081 port) is not reachable, are we right?
Thank you!
Mr. Chan

Hi Mr Chan,
In Hermes' point of view, Ack messages are ebMS protocol messages and =
thus not to be delivered to applications. Monitor is a Hermes =
application, therefore it cannot see Ack messages. You are right, Ack =
messages (no matter it is synchronous or asynchronous) exists when =
reliable messaging is being used, so you can see those Ack mesages being =
captured in TcpMonitor. However, upon receipt of those Ack messages, =
Hermes handles it by marking its own internal states in database. And =
then the Ack messages are not delivered to the applications (e.g. =
Monitor).
Therefore, it's not a matter of synchronous or asynchronous in your =
case. You will not see Ack messages in Monitor anyway.
Hope this helps.
Regards, -Patrick

Subject: [ebxmlms-develop] Can an Acknowledgement message of sending =
back asynchronously show in the "Receive History" panel?
Hello,
We have been using your hermes MSH for Interoperability Test of =
ebMS for a long time, and developed a little more function on it, but =
recently we found a question about receiving the acknowledgement message =
asynchronously,so we turn to you for seeking your help. Following is the =
question in detail:
=20
1=A1=A2My runtime environment:
=20
Windows 2000 Professional
Apache Tomcat 4.0.4
J2SDK 1.4.2
Hermes MSH version : hermes_ebms2_binary_dist_0931
db: hsqldb_1_7_1
=20
2=A1=A2My Question:
When the Receiver need to sends back the Acknowledgement message =
asynchronously to the Sender in the Interoperability Test, Can this =
Acknowledgement message show in the "Receive History" panel on the =
Sender's MSH?
=20
3=A1=A2Further:
In the process of actual Interoperability Test, we add a function of =
sending back the Acknowledgement message asynchronously to the Sender on =
the Receive History panel, that is, there is an Acknowledgement element =
included in the acknowledgement message. But when sending this =
acknowledgement message, the receive histroy panel of the sender's MSH =
can't show this acknowledgement message, so we use TcpMonitor to see if =
it has sent, and at last we found it has, why? Does hermes MSH can't =
show a message include an Acknowledgement element? I know when sending =
back the Acknowledgement message synchronously in HTTP Session response =
to the Sender, we can't see this Acknowledgement message in the receive =
history panel, but we think the asynchronous acknowledgement message =
should show in the receive history panel.=20
=20
Look forward to your explainment. Thank you! :-)

Hi,
I tried to run Loopback.java, but it gave an error message saying

property file msh_client.properties.xml

And also let me know , how to configure msh properly?
because i have edited all the required info in msh.properties.xml, but
even then i am getting the error message
"msh servlet unavailable"
Provide me steps for " how to setup a new msh?"
Thanking in Advance

Hi, I have posted the same problem in general list. The problem is: I am trying to use Hermes MSH (downloaded from freebxml.com).Server Iam using is Tomcat. I followed all the instuructions in the documentation.I edited msh.properties.xml and put it in class path. But after all that , whenever i run msh i am getting the error "msh servlet unavailable". Help me in providing a solution to this problem. Please provide me instructions for configuring the msh. Key points to remember?? regards A N A N T H. R |

Hi, Hermes handles ebXML messages, which are kind of special SOAP messages. But if you want to send and receive general SOAP message, I guess you should use other tools, like Apache AXIS. If you want to know more about how Hermes sends and receives ebXML messages, you can take a look at our development guide and our Loopback.java sample. Thanks.
