Hi Mr Chan,
In Hermes' point of view, Ack messages are ebMS protocol messages and =
thus not to be delivered to applications. Monitor is a Hermes =
application, therefore it cannot see Ack messages. You are right, Ack =
messages (no matter it is synchronous or asynchronous) exists when =
reliable messaging is being used, so you can see those Ack mesages being =
captured in TcpMonitor. However, upon receipt of those Ack messages, =
Hermes handles it by marking its own internal states in database. And =
then the Ack messages are not delivered to the applications (e.g. =
Monitor).
Therefore, it's not a matter of synchronous or asynchronous in your =
case. You will not see Ack messages in Monitor anyway.
Hope this helps.
Regards, -Patrick

Subject: [ebxmlms-develop] Can an Acknowledgement message of sending =
back asynchronously show in the "Receive History" panel?
Hello,
We have been using your hermes MSH for Interoperability Test of =
ebMS for a long time, and developed a little more function on it, but =
recently we found a question about receiving the acknowledgement message =
asynchronously,so we turn to you for seeking your help. Following is the =
question in detail:
=20
1=A1=A2My runtime environment:
=20
Windows 2000 Professional
Apache Tomcat 4.0.4
J2SDK 1.4.2
Hermes MSH version : hermes_ebms2_binary_dist_0931
db: hsqldb_1_7_1
=20
2=A1=A2My Question:
When the Receiver need to sends back the Acknowledgement message =
asynchronously to the Sender in the Interoperability Test, Can this =
Acknowledgement message show in the "Receive History" panel on the =
Sender's MSH?
=20
3=A1=A2Further:
In the process of actual Interoperability Test, we add a function of =
sending back the Acknowledgement message asynchronously to the Sender on =
the Receive History panel, that is, there is an Acknowledgement element =
included in the acknowledgement message. But when sending this =
acknowledgement message, the receive histroy panel of the sender's MSH =
can't show this acknowledgement message, so we use TcpMonitor to see if =
it has sent, and at last we found it has, why? Does hermes MSH can't =
show a message include an Acknowledgement element? I know when sending =
back the Acknowledgement message synchronously in HTTP Session response =
to the Sender, we can't see this Acknowledgement message in the receive =
history panel, but we think the asynchronous acknowledgement message =
should show in the receive history panel.=20

Look forward to your explainment. Thank you! :-)
