Can't find matching stroke

I had used easystroke on Linux Mint without any trouble, but now that I am using Gentoo, easystroke is unable to recognize gestures. Everything seems to work, meaning that when I draw a gesture (using Shift+left click, and both with a Synaptics touchpad and an AsusTek multi-touch panel) Easystroke draws the line indicating the stroke, but it cannot match it with any of the existing actions, even though I draw recognisably. I know I had no trouble with having my gestures recognized before, and I have not forgotten to setup the actions that I am trying to perform. I have tried both the 0.4.5 version avaliable in one of Gentoo overlays and compiling the newest release from SF. I am attaching the .
