#79 Unusable on MAC Mini Sonoma 14.8.1
1) Still get "The executable /usr/bin/pstopdf could not be found" despite installing ghostscript as described.
2) abc won't display as staff notation.

Yes I forgot to mention that it was build on release macOS 26 (Tahoe).
Need to find an older mac to build a version for it.
How old is yours?

OK and you are not updating towards newer version of MacOS?
I had assumed that all mac on Apple Silicon would have upgraded their OS to the latest one.
I thought you had a much older one on Intel.
I can potentially help you on how to run directly on Python but you will need some command line not sure whether you are familiar to it.
If you can upgrade to macOS Tahoe (your mac is new enough as mine is from 2020...) it would be easier though.
Have upgraded to macOS 27.0 Golden Gate.
Can't get it to open. The x86-64.dmg the computer thinks it is an exe and wants Rosetta.
the arm64.dmg the computer thinks it is damaged.
I might suggest trying another browser? Perhaps try Chrome? I know, it should just work, but the images downloaded fine here so I don't think it is the image or a server problem.
Same problem downloaded through Chrome.
The intel version will always require that you install Rosetta, that is not a problem, it is normal. I am more curous about why the ARM64 disk iamge won't open.
If I misunderstood you, and the disk image (DMG) opens, but the application itself complains about being damaged, see this: https://sourceforge.net/p/easyabc/tickets/83/

The arm dmg will open, but Gatekeeper thinks it is damaged. I downloaded Sentinel but it can't seem to fix the file. I tried turning off Gatekeeper. The dmg then opened but the app wasn't working properly. It had a blank box rather than the 3 section interface and couldn't enter anything.
I've given up for now, using ABCarus. Sad because I liked EasyABC.
Have you tried the Applescript available here : https://sourceforge.net/projects/easyabc/files/EasyABC/1.4.0b1/

Thanks. OK I figured out how to run an APpleScript. It ran. The app opens but I still get a blank window, unusable.

I manage to have it running on a macOS 26.6 with an M1 and some users could run it on macOS 27
Maybe an issue with some earlier version that you were running and left some artefacts.
I assume that you do not have any logs in this context.
The screenshot is just of an empty window anyway.
No error logs come up spontaneously. If there is some way to look for them let me know.
I skipped over OS 26 and updated straight to 27. 0 Maybe that was a mistake.
OK, no it should not be an issue.
Were you using already EasyABC before?
Maybe you could delete what is in home folder/Library/Application Support/EasyABC
To go to it, press the option key while clicking on the Go menu of Finder and then Library...
I couldn't see anything in the App support folder related to EasyABC
Where you using a previous version of EasyABC?
If yes there must be something
maybe open a Terminal and try the following:
% open ~/Library/Application\ Support/EasyABC
Yes i was using earlier version, it was great.
Terminal says "no such job" in relation to above script
